Forest Honeydew Honey

Honeydew honey is one of the most valuable bee products. Unlike nectar honey, which bees gather from plant blossoms, honeydew honey is produced from honeydew. This is a sweet sap secreted from the leaves and bark of trees (such as oak, pine, fir, and linden) or from small insects living on them. This honey is distinguished by a dark color, a thicker consistency, and a specific, less sweet taste with subtle caramel or malt notes.
Main health benefits
* Exceptionally rich in minerals: Contains between 5 and 9 times more potassium, magnesium, iron, and phosphorus compared to regular light honey. This makes it an excellent helper for the cardiovascular system and circulation.
* Strong antioxidant action: Supports the cleansing of the body from toxins, protects cells against oxidative stress, and slows down the aging process.
* Natural antibiotic: Possesses powerful antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties. It excels at managing respiratory tract infections and soothes persistent coughs.
* Boosts immunity: Recommended for physical and mental exhaustion, stress, and for rapid recovery after severe illness or surgery.
* Lower allergen: Since it is not made from flower nectar, it contains almost no pollen. This makes it a suitable option for many people suffering from pollen allergies.
* Beneficial for digestion: Supports the normal functioning of the gastrointestinal tract and acts as a natural prebiotic.
How to use
* For daily tone: It is enough to take 1 tablespoon daily (for children over 1 year – 1 teaspoon). It is best consumed in the morning on an empty stomach so the body can absorb the beneficial substances as quickly as possible.
* In drinks: Can be dissolved in water, tea, or milk. It is extremely important that the liquid is no warmer than 40 degrees Celsius. High temperatures destroy the valuable enzymes, amino acids, and vitamins in the honey.
* For sore throats and coughs: Take a teaspoon of honey and hold it in your mouth until it slowly melts from saliva and flows down the throat.
* For restful sleep: A teaspoon dissolved in a cup of slightly warm milk in the evening before bed has a very calming effect on the nervous system.
* For topical use: Thanks to its antibacterial and regenerative properties, honeydew honey can be applied to minor wounds, abrasions, light burns, or used in homemade cosmetic masks to nourish the face and hair.
